Hermès
Founded in Paris in 1837 by harness-maker Thierry Hermès, the House built its name on exceptional craftsmanship long before it entered the world of perfume.
Its fragrance story began in 1951 with Eau d'Hermès, followed by Calèche in 1961, the House's first women's perfume. Since then, in-house perfumers such as Jean-Claude Ellena and Christine Nagel have shaped a distinctive "auteur" style, creating scents that tell a story rather than follow trends. From the earthy, woody Terre d'Hermès to the playful, ribbon-inspired Twilly and the luminous garden of Un Jardin sur le Nil, each fragrance is composed from fine ingredients with elegance, wit and restraint.
Timeless, refined and quietly confident: this is Hermès.
